Greenland Ice Melting

The ice sheets around Greenland are melting away because of global warming. The melting of the ice in Greenland is the single biggest contributor to the rising of the ocean levels all around the earth. Many new islands have been formed due to the ice melt in Greenland. One is named, Uunartoq Qeqertoq, which is Inuit for the warming island.

Thank you for all of your comments. Love our earth.

Global Warming Update

Today in the New York Times, I read an article about global warming. Did you know that the nighttime tempereratures are warming up? This is happening because greenhouse gases are trapping the warm air around our earth, even when the sun is not shining. This is our update on global warming for today. Love our earth.

Sincerely,

Global Warming

As I type this post, I think of one thing: global warming. Our planet is warming up because of pollution. If this continues, soon the polar bears and penguins will not have a habitat. This makes me feel sad.

One thing you can do to help stop pollution and global warming is to recycle. You can stop using paper plates. Bring a reusable lunch box to school or work. Bring reusable bags to the grocery store.

Love Our Earth.

Sincerely,

Maya
